November 8th is National Election Day! Election Day is the annual day set for general elections, both for federal, state, and local governments.

The University has an important resource, FSU Votes , that may come in handy before casting a ballot. There, you can learn more about obtaining a sample ballot, tracking a mail-in ballot, instructions for in-person voting, your local voting site, and much more. Make sure to get out there and vote!

The Mildred and Claude Pepper Collection was donated by Congressman Claude Pepper to the Florida State University Libraries in 1979. Subsequent donations were made during the 1980s and additional materials were acquired following his death in 1989. The collection contains over two million pages including Pepper’s official correspondence, speeches, legislative, committee, and campaign files. In addition, there are files of his personal correspondence, speeches, photographs, recordings, and memorabilia.

The records of the Tallahassee Chapter of the Florida National Organization for Women include official NOW correspondence, meeting minutes and agendas, reports, budgets, newsletters, and other records which chronicle the development and activities of Tallahassee NOW from its founding in 1971 until 1997.
Florida State University Libraries has also been a congressionally designated depository for United States Government publications and for the State of Florida publications since 1941. There are more than 500,000 government publications housed in open stacks in the basement of the Strozier Libraries. The collection includes books, journals, maps, CDs, DVDs and reproductions on microfiche and microfilm. Check out more about our Government Information collections here!
