Meet our new Reference Assistance Team:

Hello! I am Evan Ramsey, and I am a Reference Assistant for Special Collections. Originally I am from Michigan, but I moved to Florida with my family right before starting High School, and have stayed in Tallahassee ever since. I graduated from FSU in Interdisciplinary Humanities, and am currently getting my Master’s in Information. Some hobbies that I really enjoy are baking and learning new recipes, playing both video and board games, and playing Dungeons and Dragons or other tabletop RPGs with my friends.

Alex Challenger recently received her PhD in Art History. She is interested in early modern printed books, especially ones with scientific illustrations. She is looking forward to working in Special Collections because it allows her to learn more about organizing and building a collection of resources and making them accessible to other researchers. She is excited to explore the resources available within the collection this semester!

My name is Bailey Hopkins and I graduated from FSU with a Bachelors in Editing, Writing, and Media and a minor in Italian language. I was introduced to Special Collections & Archives through a History of Text Technologies course and became very interested in the construction and content of rare books and how we can use them to learn about people of the past. Outside of work, I spend my time watching movies, painting with watercolors, and, if I can, working with clay.

Our new team is here to assist you at the SCA reference desk!
