FSU Special Collections & Archives Reading Rooms are Open

Welcome back students! FSU Special Collections and Archives is looking forward to seeing you again, and we are ready to assist you this semester with your research or class visit needs.  As we return to in person research services, there have been a few changes implemented to ensure you have a safe and productive visit to Special Collections. 

For the Fall, interested researchers will be asked to register with us online  prior to their visit or use the tablet in our Strozier Reading Room to fill out a registration form upon arrival. We have also added a new monitor for a smoother research consultation experience for visitors. Visitors will be allowed to keep any pencils provided by Special Collections & Archives staff, and our reading room tables are staggered to provide more space for researchers to work comfortably. Masks are expected in FSU’s indoor spaces; Special Collections staff have them available at the reference desk. Our reading room locations and hours are listed below.


Strozier Research Center Hours:

M, T, TH: 12-6pm

W: 12-7pm

F: 12-5pm


Pepper Library Hours: 

T, W, TH: 1-5pm 


Research Appointments

Available for both reading rooms (with 2 weeks notice): 

M-TH: 9am-7pm

F: 9am-12pm
